Pair of J.H. Henig Geometric Op Art Paintings
Pair of large geometric paintings by Washington, D.C. artist J.H. Henig, dated May 1986. Executed in acrylic and marker on board, each composition uses repeating dimensional forms and strong blocks of turquoise, orange, red, yellow, blue, gray, black and white. Floating frame offsets these off the wall for a floating appearance.
Both paintings show scattered surface marks, edge wear, small areas of paint loss and general wear consistent with age. Each is signed, dated and titled “Untitled” on the reverse.
Dimensions: Approximately 36” × 36” each.
