Sculptural American mid-century armchair attributed to Arthur Umanoff, circa 1960s. Curved birch slats form the contoured seat, backrest and gracefully extended arms, supported by a slender black-painted wrought iron frame with splayed legs. The combination of warm wood and graphic ironwork is characteristic of Umanoff’s rustic-modern seating designs.

Good vintage condition with light scratches, finish variation and scattered wear to the wood and painted iron consistent with age. The chair is unmarked and is therefore listed as attributed to Arthur Umanoff.

Dimensions: approximately 23.5" W x 21" D x 31.5" H; 16" seat height; 24.5" arm height.
